Reasons Readers Love the Kindle eBook Reader

If you have yet to pick up a Kindle or know someone who owns it, you might be wondering what all the hoopla is about. Why do readers like, own and use a digital reader such as the hugely popular model from Amazon? Below we highlight a few of the top reasons readers love the Kindle ebook reader.

kindle 3 and books

1. Storage Capacity – the ability to carry and store hundreds of titles is appealing to many book lovers. The kindle has the capacity to store thousands of titles and take with you anywhere – the beach, the park, school, on a plane or train ride, etc. If you tire of one book and want to switch to something entirely different, simply click a button and you’re off to a new book in seconds. Minus the bulk of having to carry 3 or 4 physical books. This alone is one reason many love and flock to the Kindle ebook reader from Amazon.

2. Lightweight – another cool feature the device has or provides is that whether you have downloaded one book or one hundred, your kindle will weigh approximately the same amount. It’s small and weighs less than a paperback, so its extremely portable and fits in a purse, backpack and even some pant pockets. A world of books in your pocket, imagine that.

3. Cool Factor – because let’s face it, the device is just plain cool. Take your Kindle to any public place or show it to friends and family members, and you’ll be the toast of the town. This nifty little gadget from Amazon has surpassed any and all expectations for a digital reading device. Of all the readers that have come to market, none has lasted or endured as the Kindle has. Many consider it the best of the best.

4. Battery Life – one of the best features of the Kindle is its long battery life. You get close to two weeks on a full charge just for reading. This is HUGE as what would be the purpose of a cool electronic reader that didn’t last long enough to finish a book or several. Amazon did a fine job with this issue.
