You may have the ideal location for your new hot tub, and it is probably that nice sunny spot at the top of your garden that is in the sun for nearly all day long.
However when choosing a location for your new tub there are a few key factors to consider. Firstly is your proposed location practical to install the tub in?

You will need to consider not only the key factors of getting water and electricity to your tub, but also how you will drain water away when it comes to shutting the tub down for winter. Suddenly that location right at the bottom of your garden means that you will not be able to drain all of the water away easily and may need to pump it out instead.
Or your location may be several dozen yards from the house and this may mean that you have to dig a trench for the power cable. This can be very hard work if doing it by yourself, or very expensive if you have to pay someone to dig one for you.
Also you need to think about placing your hot tub away from trees as otherwise you will be plagued by leaves being blown in to your hot tub.
You will also need to think about making sure your new tub is kept well away from any overhead power lines. Just to ensure that in a worst-case scenario that they cannot drop down into your hot tub.
Your tub will also need to be placed on level ground that you can actually get the tub to. As these tubs weigh a lot when empty or full and cannot easily be moved without mechanical assistance – this can be a major factor in locating your hot tub.
